WHAT ARE YOUR CORE DRIVES IN YOUR EVERYDAY WORK?
Do things that bring value (to yourself, customers, people)
Focus on things that energize you
Don't waste time on excuses
WHAT KIND OF CHANGE WOULD YOU LIKE TO BRING YOUR LOCAL& GLOBAL/REGIONAL LEVEL?
Would like to see more international collaborations. In the IT space we see it everywhere and understand how important it is to bring enlightened people together no matter borders or national differences. By doing this we not only reduce nationalism but help each other to
understand different cultures.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU THE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF YAGE AND DURING THE YAGE EVENTS?
I was inspired by how a group of so different, a bit idealistic, but passionate people was able to organize this whole movement. It's so hard to fight through all bureaucracy levels, finding sponsors, and volunteers. With this team it was not only pleasant to work with but also
changed my way of thinking and living.
WHICH USEFUL SKILLS DID YOU DEVELOP WHILE BEING INVOLVED IN YAGE?
I learned a lot about communications and building projects, how to work with groups of people, organize them, and plan events in general. It helps a lot, cause this type of skill we use every day.
WHICH IDEA OF GREATER EUROPE DO YOU ENVISION IN THE FUTURE?
Russia must be a big part of Europe (same as otherwise), it's become harder compared to times when YAGE started. Collaboration is the only way forward, it's hard sometimes, but together we can overcome it. So the idea of Greater Europe is still there, still alive, and still
needs youth to unite and build it together!
WHICH STRATEGIES COULD BE USED BY YOUNG PEOPLE TO INFLUENCE THE DECISION-MAKING IN INTERNATIONAL BODIES?
The world has gone online this year, and now everyone sees that it's possible to work online, and collaborate no matter the distance.
YAGE did that years ago with great success. IT projects are not so much different from some social ones. It's still about organizing the work of a group of people, planning, and estimations. Maybe bringing more agile management skills to org groups of youth, may help to simplify processes and by it involve more people in that.
ARE YOU IN CONTACT WITH OTHER ALUMNI?
I follow the page and chats that we have, unfortunately, weren't able to participate in a recent event, but looking forward to reuniting with the YAGE team!
